My day so far.

Just tried to blog from Word; yeah, that didn't work out so well. Still, I'll try almost anything once and if it worked out I would've used it from time to time. It is my humble opinion that you can never have too many options. There are a thousand and one ways to skin a cat and honestly, sometimes I procrastinate am pressed for time and I actually need a work around for my poor, poor time management skills. I'll keep tinkering w/it. I know that I can blog from Flock, but that really slows down my computer. I can do it from my cell phone but it just feels awkward. Also gmail and of course, coming to the blogger site itself and doing it. Wonder if I can do it in OpenOffice? Yes, I'm so friggin' productive at work today! They're closing the office at three today, so I still have time to do...something...? http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/

All I want for Christmas is my PS3

...and I got it! Woo- Hoo !!! Hip Hip Huzzah!!! Oh BABY!!! I could go on, but I think everyone gets the message; I have a PS3 and it's essentially taken over my life! I just downloaded " LoccoRocco Cocoreccho ! " from the PSN as well as "Street Fighter Alpha". Of course, the first download was " Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix ", 'cause I'm a Street Fighter slut fanatic and can't get enough! I got the 160 GB PS3 bundle pack, which means I already have " Drake's Uncharted Fortune ", I bought " John Woo's Stranglehold " and " LittleBigPlanet " for myself and my friends and family bought me " Heavenly Sword " and " Soul Calibur 4 ". I've made the decision to play Stranglehold, Drakes, Heavenly Sword and LittleBigPlanet in that order w/a liberal sprinkling of Soul Calibur 4 (I've already downloaded Yoda, I just need to find the Apprentice. Can I just say th

Marvel shows Hulk is the strongest one there is

Now, if only Marvel could make a decent TV series like this DVD, older fanboys like myself would tune in and tune out.     Sent to you by tony via Google Reader:     Marvel shows Hulk is the strongest one there is via Blog@Newsarama by David Pepose on 12/23/08 Marvel released several clips last night for their upcoming Hulk Vs. DVD, due to be released Jan. 27th, 2009. The Not-So-Jolly Green Giant will be taking on the deadly Wolverine and the mighty Thor in the two-part DVD. Among the clips are some opening shots between the Hulk and his adversaries, as well as a short featurette on everyone's favorite Merc-With-A-Mouth: Deadpool.       Things you can do from here: Subscribe to Blog@Newsarama using Google Reader Get started using Google Reader to easily keep up with all your favorite sites

Wha???

How did I miss this??? Usually, when news like this hits the net, I'm all over it! But this I missed completely!!! The game looks good; if the gameplay and graphics are anything like this trailer, I'm going to be one of the first in line. I can't wait to play "Infamous", "Prototype", " Ghostbusters ", " Bioshock ", "Street Fighter 4", "Metal Gear Solid", "Assassin's Creed" and "Heavenly Sword"; nor can I wait to download "Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Remix HD ". As of right now, I have "Little Big Planet", "Stranglehold", and "Uncharted"...none of which I've played. Thanks to an unfortunate snafu between Amazon and UPS, I won't be receiving my beloved PS3 until Monday. At work. Which is going to make for a mildly unpleasant ride home on the bus, but I'll manage. It's what has to be done for the sake of gameplay . It's what

Spider-Fans love Mary Jane, survey says

Obviously. Sent to you by tony via Google Reader: Spider-Fans love Mary Jane, survey says via Blog@Newsarama by David Pepose on 12/7/08 Last week, we posted a short piece on poster Stuart Green's survey about Spider-Man's post-One More Day status. In the story arc by J. Michael Stracynzki and Marvel EiC Joe Quesada, Aunt May had been shot into a coma, and Peter Parker made a deal with the demon Mephisto to annul his marriage to save her life. According to the results, one thing is clear: the fans want the marriage back. 71 posts voted that the marriage should return, versus 24 posts that the marriage should stay dead. Meanwhile, fans wrote that if there was anyone who should return the marriage, it should be J. Michael Stracynzki, who also expressed his problems with the story following its release. Runner-ups included Brian Michael Bendis with 16 votes, and Matt Fraction as a write-in with another 16 votes. That said, the jury is still out on the rest of B

Only in America can a Japanese American grow up to become the head of VA...on Pearl Harbor Day!!! Sent to you by tony via Google Reader: Obama Taps Shinseki To Head A 21st Century VA: ‘We Have A Sacred Trust To Repay’ To Our Troops via Think Progress by Amanda Terkel on 12/7/08 Today, President-elect Barack Obama announced that Gen. Eric Shinseki will become his Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary. The nomination of the first Asian-American to the post — Shinseki, a Japanese-American, grew up in Hawaii — carries extra poignancy, coming on the 67th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks . Watch it: Shinseki is most famous for publicly contradicting Bush administration officials' overly optimistic predictions about the war in Iraq. In 2003, then serving as the Army's chief of staff, he told Congress that it would take several hundred thousand U.S. troops to secure Iraq. The Bush administration's failure to heed Shinseki's warnings have led to a

Give Thanks To Your Wonkette Pals, With Recipes!

It's a time to be thankful for the things that I have rather than complain about the things that I don't! With that being said...I'm thankful that WE HAVE A NEW PRESIDENT!!! Next year, photos like this will be a thing of the past. Also, it's a time to send our prayers out to those who don't have it so good. Like our troops (and innocent civilians) in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also, to our troops in S. Korea and Germany. Also, let us keep the victims of this recent terrorist attack in India in our thoughts and prayers as well. Have a happy and reflective Thanksgiving! Mickey Mouse cleans house!

I concur! The title alone had me at hello. Dirty. Sexy. Money. After the title the characters were like a freaking train wreck in slo-mo. And now, they're axing it. Well, at least I'm not alone. My friend is a huge "Pushing Daisies" fan. Gotta love American television. Commemorative SmarTrip Cards Marking Obama Inaugration Available in January

Coolness.     Sent to you by tony via Google Reader:     Commemorative SmarTrip Cards Marking Obama Inaugration Available in January via DCist by Sommer Mathis on 11/20/08 Metro hasn't yet formally announced the sale of a special edition SmarTrip card commemorating the impending inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama, but this image was circulated at this morning's regular Board of Directors meeting, along with details on their production schedule and cost. Metro spokesperson Steven Taubenkibel confirmed that the commemorative SmarTrip cards should be available for sale in early January, while special paper Metro farecards marking the inauguration will be sold somewhat earlier, in late December. There was some discussion at the board meeting about the cost and availability of the commemorative SmarTrip cards. Currently, Metro plans to sell them for $10 per card, with no value added to the card at the time of initial purchase, which would make them $5 more e
