So my friend asked me what a blog is? I gave her the generic answer, that it's derived from the words "web" and "log". Simple enough. But then, I started thinking about how something so simple can end up being so much more; blogs can vary in layers. I mean, the web, in and of itself is GI-NORMOUS!!! If you want to find anything, you can find it on the web (That's gotta be the "duh" statement of the year. I mean, you are reading this blog and later, you may check your e-mail and move money out of your savings into your checking account online) and a log/diary/journal can be very something very deep, personal and introspective. The two go together like chocolate and peanut butter! But then, I started thinking about people who lost their jobs over their blogs and how blogs are changing the face of journalism and even the way we percieve the world!
