Sista Smack Talk!!!

My friends think that I talk a lot of smack when I play video games, which is true. I have a tendency to taunt my opponents when I play them on my PS2; mainly to psyche 'em out and get under their skin, which is funny because many times, I'm just playing the computer. Anywho, my trash talkin' doens't hold a candle to my sister's trash talking abilities, especially on the basketball court. She was born a natural athlete; ambidextrous, quick witted, quick tempered, determined...or amazingly stubborn (with her, I could never tell), and always striving to give the last word! But here's the difference, my sister starts BEFORE nary a controller or basketball is picked up! I'm much sneakier! I'll wait until it looks like my opponent has NO hope of recovery, then I'll start! Furthermore, I never trash talk about events that are outta my control. No! That's a lie! I've done that before, but mostly in a, "okay, we'll see" kind of way. Never a, "oh, your team's going to get spanked", kind of way! It was the latter that I heard from her several times yesterday from 12:45pm to 12:57pm.

My sister is a HUGE 49ers fan.

I am a 'Skins fan to the core.

Yesterday's score:

Washington: 52
San Fransisco: 17

I talked to her three hours after the onslaught.

She told me to stop living in the past.

You've gotta love siblings!

Um...Rabbit Vibrators aside, the following has got to be the understatement of the year:

"My friends think that I talk a lot of smack when I play video games, which is true."

SmarTrip Users Can Now Reload at CVS & Giant

Excellent!     Sent to you by tony via Google Reader:     SmarTrip Users Can Now Reload at CVS & Giant via DCist by Sommer Mathis on 6/16/09 Metro formally announced today that SmarTrip users can add value to their cards at select CVS and Giant Food stores . Last year, WMATA made SmarTrip cards more widely available for sale at CVS and Giant , but now customers can also choose to add money to their cards at both chains while they check out. Many CVS stores actually began offering customers the ability to reload their SmarTrip cards back in April, while Giant has only started to test the sales devices at eight area stores. The grocer will likely add 42 more locations later this summer. Not every CVS or Giant has the new SmarTrip reload technology, but a lot of them do. Consult the list of participating stores to find the one closest to you. The change means that SmarTrip users need no longer necessarily wait in line to access Metro's machines insi...

That Darn El Gato!

Still trying to get the hang of "phoning it in" to blogger.com. This is one of my roommate's cats. Like all cats, he likes to get into things, stand behind you when you're doing something important and then take a nap. Ain't he precious? Saw the preview for this movie; I was skeptical about it when I heard that they were making another one, but after the preview, I'm gonna plunk down 10 bills for this one. And of course, there's Beyonce... Good night everybody! http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thepinkpanther/index.html

Ma'am I'm not a hero, I'm just doing my job!

I wrote this in response to a friend who posted a blog entry about heroes a few days ago: When I was a young boy, my aunt would let me and my sister go to 7-Eleven; it was one of the few areas we were allowed to go by ourselves. Generally, I was there for a Slurpee, but once a week, something magical would happen: the 7-Eleven would receive new comics!!! Oh joy! New comics! Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Hulk, Captain America, the X-Men and my favorite, Spider-Man. Yes, for the longest, he's been one of my favorites to read and even though I don't buy comics anymore (are you kidding me, look at the price tag?!?) I still casually read it when I'm in my favorite bookstore and occasional, I'll buy graphic novels. He's been my favorite for several main reasons: 1-He's like me. Oh sure, he was a teenager by the time I started reading but I understood what it was like to have a good day at school but a bad day at home. Or a good day at home, a ...
